A Virginia man who racked up a $202,000 toll bill will be paying it off until he's 87.

Jason Bourcier, a 33-year-old financial consultant from Arlington, has agreed to pay the Virginia Department of Transportation more than $96,000 of the bill in $150 month installments for the next 54 years, USA Today reported.

So how did the bill get so high?

Bourcier drove the Dulles Toll Road regularly during his commute from Reston, Va., to Washington, D.C., starting in 2009.

He said he was told the toll booths were unmanned after 11:30 p.m., so he could drive the road without paying the 75-cent toll.

But that wasn't true.

VDOT caught Bourcier's plates on camera, and fined him for 335 violations over a three-and-a-half-year period -- which came out to $202,000.

His lawyers were able to negotiate the fines down to $96,000.

Bourcier told Washington TV station WRC he's learned his lesson: "Don’t mess with E-ZPass."
