John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York suspended flight operations for about two hours Sunday after an incident involving a regional jet, Delta Flight 4100 from Toronto.

Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico said the plane, carrying 35 people, skidded into a snow bank while turning onto a taxiway after landing safely.

The aircraft was towed to the gate, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

No injuries are reported. Port Authority police and emergency crews were assisting passengers

The airport temporarily suspended takeoffs and landings after the incident because of icy runways, according to The Associated Press.
