EL PASO, Texas -

Virgin Galactic's second flight of its passenger space vehicle was a success when it launched Thursday morning in California.

SpaceShip Two hit its highest altitude and broke the sound barrier.

Sir Richard Branson said they couldn't be more delighted to achieve the milestone and they're on track for the 2014 start of commercial service at the New Mexico Spaceport.

In other Virgin Galactic news, the company has posted some very specialized jobs in Las Cruces.
