EL PASO, Texas -

El Paso Police identify three people killed in two separate crashes on Sunday.

Loop 375 Crash

The woman killed in Sunday’s early morning crash on Loop 375 has been identified as 33-year-old Michelle Estrada, an East El Paso resident.

El Paso Police say Estrada was driving her 2002 Honda Civic southbound on Loop 375 when she lost control of the car at 4:16 a.m. Sunday.

It veered to the left and struck the center concrete barrier that divides north and south bound lanes.

Estrada died at the scene. Her passenger, 33-year-old Esteban Torres, received minor injuries and was taken to hospital. Police say neither person was wearing a seatbelt. Police say it is not known at this time if alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

I-10 West at McRae

Two people were killed in a head-on collision involving a 2010 Hyundai Accent traveling the wrong way on I-10 West early Sunday morning.

El Paso Police say 30-year-old Nora Padilla, of the 200 block of Monte Rubio, was driving the Accent at about 1:38 a.m. when she crashed into a 2007 Harley-Davison motorcycle being driven by 46-year-old Robert Karr, of the 900 block of Man of War St.

Padilla and Karr died at the scene. Karr is in the Army.
