EL PASO, Texas -

The El Paso Diablos' final homestand of 2013 is underway and will end on Sunday.

Diablos general manager Matt LaBranche told ABC-7 Wednesday night that the team will not be playing baseball in the 2014 season and there is still no official word on which city they will end up calling home starting in 2015.

LaBranche also said the team will most likely end up in a Midwest city with potentially a new ballpark to move into.

The Diablos have been an independent minor league baseball team since 2005, first playing in the Central Baseball League, and then in the American Association independent league.

The team was a Double-A affiliate of various Major League Baseball teams from 1972 to 2004.

El Paso will be getting a Triple-A baseball team when the Tucson Padres relocate to the Sun City in time for the 2014 season in a brand new ballpark in Downtown.
