Early voting begins for special election in District 6

Early voting begins Wednesday to elect city representative for District 6.
Current representative Eddie Holguin resigned last year to run for El Paso County Judge, but did not get enough votes beat out Judge Veronica Escobar.
His resignation will go into effect when a candidate is elected.
Mike Armstrong, owner of the now closed Three Legged Monkey Bar is looking to represent District 6.
He has received support from city representatives Eddie Holguin, Lily Limon and El Paso County Sheriff Richard Wiles,
Dick Bowen, a businessman and mortgage broker, is also vying for votes.
Claudia Ordaz currently works as the communications specialist for the El Paso Water Utilities. She has also worked alongside state adnd federal elected officials.
Lastly, Alex Zuniga, a certified teacher and communications specialist.
Early voting begins Wednesday and continues through July 15.
Election day is July 19.
Residents have four polling locations to cast their ballot:
El Paso County Courthouse, 500 E. San Antonio Ave. (8am-5pm)
Marty Robbins Recreation Center, 11600 Vista Del Sol Dr. (9a-6p)
Pavo Real Recreation Center, 9301 Alameda Ave (9a-6p)
Zaraplex Center #139, 1700 Zaragoza Rd. (9a-6p)
Polls will be closed July 4-6 for the holiday weekend.
July 14-15 polls open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
