Suspect on the loose after Northeast El Paso bar shooting

EL PASO, Texas -

Police are searching for whoever it was that shot a man in the leg outside a Northeast El Paso bar Thursday night.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. In the parking lot of Alma's bar, which is on the 9800 block of Dyer south of Transmountain Road.

According to police, a man fired a gun 3 to 4 times in the parking lot hitting a bystander in the leg. The victim was not seriously hurt, but was taken to U.M.C. For treatment. The shooter was nowhere to be found when police arrived. However, they say they have a good idea on who he is.

Nobody else was hurt in the incident, and the bar remained open throughout the whole matter.
