El Paso's amnesty period comes to an end
The city's amnesty period expired Sunday at midnight.
The period was offered up to anyone with a delinquent ticket or citation.
For $50 on top of the original fine, the ticket was wiped away.
A list of people with delinquent fines was posted in local papers, as well as online.
According to the El Paso Times, more than $2.8 million were collected from the amnesty period.
Still, names remain on the list.
Police Chief Greg Allen said warrant round-ups would occur at the end of the period.
