EL PASO, Texas -

One man is dead and another found himself in jail after an early morning wreck in far east El Paso.

This incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. Monday morning on the 12500 block of Montana, which is in front of the jail annex. Police say the wreck was caused by an alleged drunk driver who failed a field sobriety test. According to police, that man slammed into the back of a white car heading west on Montana. Two men were inside that white car. Police say the driver was not seriously hurt, but the passenger died at a hospital.
