Daytona Crash 2-23

A last-lap Nationwide Series race crash left a gaping hole in the Daytona International Speedway track fencing, according to the Associated Press. There is no immediate confirmation if spectators were injured.

Tony Stewart won the race, which culminated with the frightening crash that appeared to injure fans. Rookie driver Kyle Larson's car sailed into the fence that separates the track from spectators. Emergency workers could be seen attending to fans in the grandstands.

Larson, whose vehicle was missing its entire front end from the crash, was unhurt in the wreck. The NASCAR season-opening Daytona 500 runs tomorrow.
